Marinela Bayha studies the early twentieth-century business advertising in Bulgaria

The Institute of Art Studies, BAS released a book by Marinela Bayha dealing with the early twentieth-century business advertising in Bulgaria.
This book bridges a wide gap in the Bulgarian experience of the interplay between design and communications”, said Assoc. Prof. Violeta Vasilchina, scientific editor of the monograph. The study has succeeded in gathering and sifting out a vast amount of information, synthesising it so that to offer the readers a representative sample of the early twentieth-century business advertising in Bulgaria. „In this sense, she is a trailblazing author,” Assoc. Prof. Violeta Vasilchina elaborated.
The monograph is of the rare studies that could be of interest both to art historians and wider readership and the included visual material and the notices on it might be helpful to other fields of science and research as well as to designers working in various areas, including communication design and applied graphic design.
