A PhD degree awarded

Maria Kumichin-Georgieva, a part-time PhD student, Department of Music, successfully passed her viva. Her thesis on Todor Todorov’s scholarly endeavours in the context of Bulgarian folk studies of the late twentieth century received two positive reviews by Assoc. Prof. Ventsislav Dimov and Assoc. Prof. Natalia Rashkova and three positive statements by Assoc. Prof. Veselka Toncheva, Prof. Rosemary Statelova, DSc, and Prof. Goritsa Naidenova (thesis supervisor).
The academic panel unanimously awarded the educational and academic PhD degree in Musicology and the Art of Music to Maria Kumichin-Georgieva.
