An International Conference on Post-totalitarian Film in the Eastern European Countries: Models and Identities

Department of Screen Arts, Institute of Art Studies, organises a conference on Post-totalitarian Film in the Eastern European Countries: Models and Identities, 2–5 November, 2018, Velingrad. The conference will discuss the cinematic processes in countries in transition following the fall of the Berlin Wall, focusing on such key terms as globalisation, crisis, transnational film, archetypes, alternative hybrid forms, indies, etc. Researchers from Canada, UK, Georgia, Romania, Serbia, Macedonia and Kazakhstan will attend the event. The conference is part of the project Bulgarian post-totalitarian film: models and identities, funded by the Bulgarian National Science Fund (BNSF).
