Cooperation between the Institute of Art Studies – BAS and the ‘Prof. Pancho Vladigerov’ National Academy of Music

On 24 September 2026, the Institute of Art Studies – BAS and the ‘Prof. Pancho Vladigerov’ National Academy of Music concluded a cooperation agreement. Prof. Joanna Spassova-Dikova, PhD, Director of the Institute, and Prof. Sava Dimitrov, PhD, Rector of the National Academy of Music, signed the document. The agreement aims to strengthen the fruitful bilateral relations between the two organisations, which currently exist informally. As academic and cultural institutions, the IAS – BAS and the National Academy of Music have the potential to implement joint initiatives that develop and enrich contemporary Bulgarian musical culture and education, promote current creative achievements, and support the expression of doctoral students, young scholars, and tenured academics in the field of music and art research. The agreement creates and expands opportunities to organise lectures and seminars, conduct training and student internships, develop project-based doctoral programmes on specific topics, and promote leading research publications and new ideas.
