PRESENTATION OF THE PROJECT ‘THE OLDEST ICONS FROM POMORIE’

On 30 October 2026, at 14:00, in Conference Hall 1 of the Institute of Art Studies, the results of the project ‘The Oldest Icons from Pomorie’, funded under the Cultural Heritage Programme of the National Culture Fund (contract No. KN-2025-44/20.11.2025), will be presented. The project involves radiocarbon dating of icons from the Church of the Transfiguration of Christ in Pomorie and is the result of joint work by scholars from the Institute of Art Studies and lecturers from the Department of Dendrology at the University of Forestry.
