Nikolay Yordanov’s monograph Bulgarian Theatre 1989–2015 is just out

Prof. Nikolay Yordanov’s monograph Bulgarian Theatre 1989–2015 is out. The book describes the development of contemporary Bulgarian theatre drawing on the theory of drama and performance, historical analysis and actual classical reflection. At the same time the study seeks to adhere to the empiricism of theatrical facts and the archival memory of those. Art developments and individual artists are projected on to the sociocultural dynamics of the previous years. Inferences and evaluations are drawn and made in view of a certain situation, but also against the backdrop of European and world theatre.
The book is a collaborative project of the Institute of Art Studies and Homo Ludens Foundation and is available at BGN12 in the bookshops of NATFA, Knizhitsi and Nisim.
