The Institute of Art Studies grants its annual award for creative interpretation of cultural heritage

The Institute of Art Studies gave its annual Animated Heritage Award for contribution to the creative interpretation of the traditions and values of Bulgarian and world cultural heritage in a contemporary artwork at the World Festival of Animated Film, Varna 2016 to Georges Schwizgebel (Switzerland) for his animation Der Erlkönig. The Institute of Art Studies is the Festival’s partner. The Swiss animator scooped also the Grand Prix for his cartoon based on Goethe’s poem and the music of Schubert and Liszt.
