Screen Adaptation as a Transfer

This is the title of the doctoral thesis of Prof. Stanimir Trifonov, PhD student, Department of Screen Arts, who successfully passed his viva on 3 October 2016.
Stanimir Trifonov is among Bulgaria’s highly acclaimed film directors and producers. His thesis Screen Adaptation as a Transfer is a successful attempt to bridge the gap between film theory and film practice, a rare occurrence of an outstanding achievement in applied film studies.
His thesis received two positive reviews by Prof. Ancho Kaloyanov, DSc, and Prof. Nadezhda Marinchevska, PhD, and three positive statements by his thesis supervisor Prof. Ingeborg Bratoeva, PhD, Assoc. Prof. Kostadin Bonev and Assoc. Prof. Nevelina Popova, PhD.
The academic panel unanimously awarded the educational and academic PhD degree in Film Studies, Film and TV to Prof. Stanimir Trifonov.
