Corr. Mem., Prof. Svetlana Kuyumjieva receives Pythagoras Award

The Ministry of Education and Science awarded its Pythagoras Prizes for outstanding contribution to science at an award ceremony for the eleventh year in a row yesterday, 30 May 2019, at the Central Military Club.
Corr. Mem., Prof. Svetlana Kuyumjieva, Department of Music, Institute of Art Studies, received the prize going to an established scholar in the field of the humanities and social sciences. Her main areas of research are medieval studies as follows: history, theory, palaeography, source studies, archaeography, liturgics, theology, general history, ethnomusicology, music iconography.
