Art Hour

The book Contemporary Musical Thought: Composition, Mediation, Directions in Twenty-first Century, compiled by Prof. Milena Bozhikova, will be presented by Prof. Georgi Arnaudov on 21 July (Sunday) 2019, 6:00 pm, Bulgaria Hall, Music Studio. The book contains works by a team of researchers from the Institute of Art Studies under a project Contemporary Music Composition, Theory and Philosophy, funded by BNSF.

The initiative also includes a Sofia premiere of A Triptych for Piano by Acad. Vassil Kazandjiev on the occasion of his eighty-fifth birthday. His work will be played by Gergana Nestorova, a renowned performer of new music.
All events held at this year’s fiftieth edition of Sofia Music Weeks Festival are dedicated to BAS’s 150th anniversary.
