Call for publications in Problems of Art Journal / Art Studies Quarterly, 2022, № 2

The editorial team of the journal ‘Problems in Art / Art Studies Quarterly invites potential authors of articles, studies and reviews to send their proposals for publication in the second issue of the journal, planned to be released on 30th June 2022.

Thematically, this issue is dedicated to the development of art from the end of WW2 to the fall of the Berlin Wall. Its title is “Realism in the East and the West”. The concepts ‘East’ and ‘West’, respectively, refer to the split during the Cold War. In terms of geography, the places of interest go beyond Europe and North America. The emphasis is on the arts, which comprise of fine art, photography and cinema.

The authors are invited to send a brief synopsis of their article, study or review in not more than 1000 characters and a short biography (up to 500 characters) by 4th April 2022.

The completed articles should be at least 18 000 characters long; the studies – up to 45 000 characters, and the reviews – between 8 000 and 12 000 characters.  All submissions should be addressed either to the publisher or to the chief editor by 29th April 2022.
