CALL FOR PUBLICATIONS IN THE ART STUDIES QUARTERLY JOURNAL, 2024, ISSUE 1
The editorial team of Art Studies Quarterly journal invites potential authors of articles, studies, and reviews to send their proposals for publication in the first issue of the journal for 2024 – "Ancient Art. Connections, Patterns, Transformations".
The issue is dedicated to ancient art from the period 6th century BC – 6th century AD. We expect proposals for publications exploring monuments from this period; their context of creation and use; the connections between major art centres; the exchange of ideas between peoples and cultures. We will be happy to review publications on the classical manifestations of ancient art in Greece and Rome; ones discussing the influence of Greek and Hellenistic art on the artistic manifestations in the neighbouring regions; studies on Roman provincial art and its specificity in the different provinces; topics on Late Antique art, on the preservation and transformation of ancient models.
The call is aimed at Bulgarian and foreign scholars of ancient art, history, and archaeology. Priority will be given to original texts.
Submissions are accepted until 20.10.2023 by sending a brief summary (up to 1000 characters) and a short CV (up to 500 characters) to the issue editors:

Papers accepted for publication shall be announced by 27.10.2023. Completed articles and studies, formatted according to the submission guidelines, should be submitted by 20.12.2023. All articles and papers shall be double-blind peer-reviewed.
