Vasil Gendov – Life between Theatre and Cinema Exhibition
On October 9, the Vasil Gendov – Life between Theatre and Cinema exhibition, created by a team of the Screen Arts Sector of the Institute of Art Studies, was exhibited in the central lobby of Dohodno Zdanie.
After the opening, Associate Professor Alexander Donev delivered a lecture on the work of Vasil Gendov and his contributions to Bulgarian culture in the period between the two world wars. The lecture is part of the program for the promotion of the results under the project “Cinema Culture, Art, and National Images (KINO.BG). Formation of the public importance of film culture in the period between the two world wars”, realised with the support of the Scientific Research Fund (contract No. КП-06-Н60/6 of 16.11.2021)
The event was part of the first edition of the Autumn Theatre Meetings in Ruse Festival. The festival's main organiser is Katya Kostova – Chairman of the Cause Peshtera Association, with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Municipality of Ruse (under the Culture program) and the partnership of Sava Ognyanov State Theatre.
