Doctoral Seminar of the Fine Arts Sector on 14.11.2024

During the seminar, on Thursday, November 14, at 11:00 a.m. in Hall 1 of IAS, the full-time doctoral student Iveta Chelebieva will present her work on her dissertation, “The Wall-Monumental Arts in the Exterior of Public Buildings in Sofia from the 1970s and 1980s”.
The dissertation researches the wall-monumental arts in the exterior of public buildings in Sofia in the 1970s and 1980s, which were or are part of the urban environment of the capital. The study aims to clarify the issues surrounding authorship and the year of creation, as well as to follow the artistic local trends, and historical and cultural aspects of the works.
The doctoral student’s scientific supervisor is Assoc. Prof. Katerina Gadjeva, PhD. The head of the doctoral seminar is Corr. member Prof. Ivanka Gergova.
