Presentation of the book “Icons from the National Church Museum of History and Archaeology”

The Institute of Art Studies at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the National Church Museum of History and Archaeology at the Holy Synod present the book “Icons from the National Church Historical and Archaeological Museum” – March 11, 2025, 6 PM, Prof. Marin Drinov Hall at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, 1 15ti Noemvri Str.
The book results from three years of research work by a large team of specialists and was implemented with the financial support of the Scientific Research Fund of the Ministry of Education and Science. The edition, dedicated to the museum’s 100th anniversary, announces for the first time the largest collection of iconographic works in Bulgaria, presented almost entirely in a massive volume with over 700 photographs and accompanying scientific articles.
