PRESENTATION OF AN EDITION OF THE INSTITUTE OF ART STUDIES REALISED WITH THE FINANCIAL SUPPORT OF THE MINISTRY OF CULTURE

On 11 April 2025, the Institute of Art Studies presented the book by Assistant Professor Maria Miteva, PhD Art and Commission Through the Artistic Practice in Bulgaria in the 1930s and the Beginning of 1940s. The author expressed her gratitude to the project team and the professionalism of all who contributed to the successful edition. Objectivised by the commission, the current relevance of the topic of the social role of art was highlighted by the scientific editor Assoc. Prof. Arch. Elena Ivanova, PhD. The contribution of the book, the result of the author’s research projects from the scientific plan of the Institute of Art Studies, was highlighted in the statement by Prof. Milena Georgieva. The Director of the Institute, Prof. Joanna Spassova-Dikova, welcomed the many guests, outlined the projections of the topic in modern times and wished the edition success.
