Text and Image Interdisciplinary International Conference 2025
The organisational committee of the Text and Image Interdisciplinary Conference invites the scientific community. Once again, scholars and artists will have the opportunity to exchange ideas, visions, and intuitions in search of the intersection between different arts and between different humanitarian disciplines. This year, we are also inviting researchers from abroad to participate, with the goal of making the forum an international event.
In 2025, we place a special jubilee emphasis on Geo Milev's work as a writer, artist, and theatre specialist. Reports dedicated to this creator will be organised into a separate panel.
The conference organisers continue to expand their institutional partnerships. After the accession of the National Academy of Arts last year, this year will also include the National Academy of Music (NAM), and the Academy of Music, Dance, and Fine Arts in Plovdiv (AMDFA). Thus, the art academies, two institutes at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and one university unite with the ambition to establish the forum as a landmark scientific event.

The date and venue are traditional: 11 – 12 September 2025, NATFA
Format of participation: in person for Bulgarian participants and in person or remotely for foreign participants
Working languages: Bulgarian and English.
Volume of reports at their oral presentation: up to 15 min.
Participation fee: BGN 50 for participants from Bulgaria/EUR 50 for foreign participants. The amount shall be deposited within three days (3 working days) after the approval of the application by the scientific committee of the forum. Deadline for submission of applications for participation (topic and short summary): 25 July 2025 by email: text-image-3@natfiz.bg
Applications for participation will be reviewed and approved by the Scientific Committee of the Forum based on the abstracts. For the inclusion of the texts in a refereed edition after the conference, only the read reports that have successfully passed double anonymous scientific peer review and have not been published elsewhere will be accepted. The requirements for their layout will be sent along with the conference program.
