Scholars from the Institute of Art Studies – BAS at an International Scientific Conference in Prilep

Corr. Member, Prof. Ivanka Gergova, DSc, Ch. Asst. Prof. Maya Zaharieva, PhD, and Ch. Asst. Prof. Tereza Bacheva, PhD, from the Institute of Art Studies – BAS, research group Medieval and Renaissance Art, took part with reports at the International Scientific Conference “Materialisation of Thought: Ideological Concepts in Cultural Heritage”, organised by the Institute for Old Slavic Culture – Prilep from 24 to 26 September 2025.  https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100064642721737. In the scientific forum, scholars from North Macedonia, Serbia, Greece, and the United States also presented their research on the topic of the conference on ideological and religious paradigms in the historical context of the manifestations of art in the Balkans from Antiquity to Modern Times.

The organiser of the forum – the Institute for Old Slavic Culture in Prilep – is one of the leading scientific organisations in North Macedonia, attracting specialists in the broad field of humanities and enjoying a reputation as a significant scientific centre for the study of cultural history in the Balkans. Its activities are related to both field studies and fundamental scientific research, maintaining active contacts with many scientific institutions in the Balkans, including the Institute of Art Studies – BAS.
