Memorandum of Cooperation between the Institute of Art Studies and Palacký University in Olomouc, Czech Republic

The Institute of Art Studies at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and Palacký University in Olomouc, Czech Republic, have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. The document was signed by Prof. Joanna Spassova-Dikova, PhD, Director of the Institute of Art Studies, and Prof. Jan Stejskal, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Olomouc. The purpose of the Memorandum is to establish active and fruitful bilateral relations between the Institute of Art Studies at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Department of Theatre and Film Studies at the Faculty of Arts at Palacký University in the field of research of stage and screen arts, the creation, preservation and maintenance of art archives and the training of doctoral students, as well as the deepening of cultural interaction between the Bulgarian and Czech scientific communities. The signing of the Memorandum was initiated and prepared during the stay of Prof. Kamelia Nikolova, PhD, under the Erasmus+ Programme at the University of Olomouc, and her working meetings with the department's teaching team, especially with Assoc. Prof. Martin Bernatek, PhD.
