Seminar “Liturgical Objects and Goldsmithing Art in Central Southern Bulgaria (15th-19th c.): Facts, Interpretations, Perspectives”

Within the research project "Liturgical Objects in the Context of Goldsmithing Art During the Period of Ottoman Rule (based on materials from the Diocese of Plovdiv)", funded by the Scientific Research Fund, contract No. КП-06-M80/2 of 7.12.2023, the Institute of Art Studies – BAS organises a seminar on "Liturgical Objects and Goldsmithing Art in Central Southern Bulgaria (15th-19th c.): Facts, Interpretations, Perspectives". During the seminar, the results of the scientific research on the project will be presented by Ch. Assist. Prof. Darina Boykina, PhD, Head of the project, and questions related to the historical and artistic context of the creation and orders of objects for worship from the period, stored today in museum and church collections, will be discussed. 
 
The seminar will be held on December 4 at 11:30 in Hall 1 of the Institute of Art Studies, 21 Krakra Str.
