New Festival for Higher-Education and School Students Short Films

On December 8, the awards of the first festival for short films by higher-education and school students, "Burgas Out of Season", were presented at the NHC Cultural Centre in Burgas. The host of the ceremony was Prof. Alexander Donev, the festival's creative director and chairman of the jury. The awards were presented by the Mayor of Burgas Municipality, Dimitar Nikolov, the Chairman of the Municipal Council, Mihail Hadzhiyanev, the Deputy Mayor on Culture, Diana Savateva and the President of the Lyuben Groys Foundation, Robert Yanakiev. The director of the festival and deputy rector of the Lyuben Groys Foundation, Mihail Mihailov, announced the organisers' ambitions to make the festival international next year.
