Doctoral Seminar of the Music Sector on 05.06.2026

On 5 June, Friday, at 14:00 in Hall 1 of the Institute of Art Studies, the regular doctoral student of the Music Sector, Desislava Hristova, with scientific supervisor Prof. Anelia Yaneva, will present her work on her doctoral dissertation in the last year. The topic of her presentation is: Vocal and artistic challenges in the genre field of musical. On examples from the repertoire of the State Musical Theatre “St. Makedonski” (State Music and Ballet Centre) (2000–2025) 

The doctoral seminar of the Music Sector gives students the opportunity to present their dissertation work to the sector's scholars. This is in favour of their scientific development, their ability to present their achievements, and to participate in scientific discussion. The seminar aims to periodically monitor the implementation of individual doctoral plans, scientific leadership, and doctoral students’ progress. This is an opportunity to intensify the scientific dialogue – improving communication between the doctoral student, their scientific supervisor, and the research group, as well as with all scientists in the sector. The aim is for a more intensive exchange of scientific information on the main problematic and thematic fields of the dissertation studies.
