Art Hour: Andrey Lyapchev’s 150th Anniversary

The Institute of Art Studies celebrates the 150th anniversary of Andrey Lyapchev on 12 December 2016, 5:00 pm, at the Auditorium of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The figure of Bulgaria’s PM (1926–1931) is inexorably associated with the Academy and above all, with the Institute of Art Studies as the Institute’s head office is housed in his quarters at 21 Krakra St, Sofia.
The night, occasioned by the 150th anniversary of Bulgarian politician Andrey Lyapchev, is held within the Art Hour initiative, under which the Institute stages events at the Auditorium of BAS on a monthly basis.
Historian Assoc. Prof. Rumiana Purvanova is going to talk about Lyapchev’s role in the history of this country.
Assoc. Prof. Emmanuel Moutafov will speak about Lyapchev’s relationship with the Bulgarian Academy of Arts.
