Byzantine and Post-Byzantine art; monumental church painting at the turn of the seventeenth century

2017: PhD, thesis on The Church of At George in Veliko Turnovo and Its Murals;
November 2017: Asst. Prof., Department of Fine Arts.
Asst. Prof. Maria Kolusheva has four publications.
She has participated in a number of symposia and conferences.
Projects:
Church Painting across Bulgarian Lands and Greek Icon-painters at the at the Turn of the Seventeenth Century; project leader, BAS programme on funding young researcher.
